Thank you for your interest in the Saudi Aviation Flight Academy (SAFA). Our unique approach to flight training provides you with the skills necessary to pursue a career as a professional pilot, or fly privately.
Step 1:
Before applying it is important that you understand the admissions and screening process. The SAFA Admission’s Department is responsible for ensuring that you have submitted all necessary information/documents for review and that you meet the minimum requirements to succeed in our program(s).
Admission to SAFA is dependent in part on an applicant’s overall performance, grades, rank in class (if applicable), and English language examination results. Once your initial application has been reviewed and meets the minimum standards, you will be invited to complete the six-part screening program outlined below at a cost of 500 SAR:
Flight Grading: The Flight grading involves an experience in a flight training device and will help SAFA identify if you have the basic aptitude to become a pilot.
Psychomotor Assessment: The psychomotor assessment consists of six sub tests designed to screen zero and low hour candidates for key pilot aptitude and abilities. The test assesses a candidate’s hand/foot/eye coordination, scan rate, tracking, mental mathematics, memory, orientation, and the ability to multi-task.
Personality Profile: The personality profile is designed to measure a broad range of personality traits that are important in determining if you possess the correct demeanor to become a safe and disciplined pilot.
Basic Math & Physical Concepts Placement Test: To be successful in the program, knowledge of basic math & physical principles is essential. If necessary, a relevant foundation course is available to those applicants who need some additional training to be successful.
Interview: The Interview is conducted by a panel and is designed to verify English proficiency and determine your aspiration for becoming a pilot.
Medical Certification:
This certification ensures that you meet the medical fitness standards set by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in order to fly. The medical certification will be completed by a GACA aviation medical examiner (the medical certificate fees are paid directly to the examiner at an estimated cost of 450 SAR).
Step 2:
If you pass the screening session, you will receive a letter of offer from Saudi Aviation Flight Academy along with a tuition deposit request.
Step 3:
Once you accept the offer letter and settle the tuition deposit, your spot will be guaranteed in the agreed class.
Saudi Aviation Flight Academy is deeply committed to enrolling a diverse student body that includes students from around the Kingdom. The interaction among students with different backgrounds and experiences creates a dynamic environment in which to learn and live.
Our admissions process is thorough and carefully considers the background of our applicants and how they may impact and contribute to the program and learning environment.
