SCHOLARSHIPS

One (1) student applying for SAFA’S Professional Pilot Course will be eligible to receive a full SAFA tuition scholarship. Once an individual has successfully passed the screening, he will have the opportunity to write a 300-word essay describing why he should receive the scholarship. The awarding of the scholarship will be based financial need, academic work completed while in high school/college, and past work experience, if applicable.

All students applying for a scholarship will have to submit a completed scholarship application with certificates and transcripts for studies; and evidence of work experience and any other relevant documents as appropriate. The application for scholarship is to be submitted to the Admissions Department.

Scholarships are awarded at the commencement of each course and will be reviewed at the end of every course. All successful applicants for scholarships will have to commence their program as outlined in the offer of admissions and will not be allowed to defer their course. All applicants who receive a scholarship will have to maintain a minimum of an attendance record of 100% (except for documented emergency leave and illness) at all times during the course. Scholarship holders failing to meet the minimum requirement in each course will no longer be entitled to retain their scholarship and will have to pay their tuition fees in order to continue their studies.

The scholarship will cover only the tuition fees and does not include textbooks, accommodation or any associated costs involved in the studies.

The Scholarship Committee appointed by the Managing Director will review and assess all scholarship applications. The Committee reserves the right to determine the scholarship entitlements, and any decision to provide a scholarship will be after assessing the applications.

The scholarship policy will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee every quarter to ensure appropriateness and determine if any changes are required.
